Wastewater Technician/ Management System Admin
Physical requirements -
- Must be able to walk or stand for long periods, including uneven surfaces
- Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects
Responsibilities –
- Follows standard practices, methods, and materials of assigned work in accordance with company, local, state and federal laws/ codes/ regulations
- Operates plant equipment including transfer pumps, cleaning screens, monitors surface irrigation pond levels, records all required meter readings, monitors chemical levels within established parameters
- Performs repairs and/or notifies appropriate maintenance personnel; notifies Environmental Manager of critical issues
- Performs, collects and/or reports sampling and laboratory analysis for process control and/or compliance reporting
- Manage the Moncure EHS Digital Management System
- Compile and communicate the monthly EHS report for site and company leadership
- Complete supplemental assessments of EHS policies and determine corrective actions for non-conformities
- Review the CAR, MoC, and Incident database and work with mill leadership on completing all corrective actions
- Ensure all SOPs, JHAs, LOTO forms are updated and reviewed by area managers
- Attends team meetings and safety trainings
Required Certifications –
- Forklift training within 30 days of hire
- Obtain NC Biological Wastewater Operator Grade 1 License within 12 months
- Obtain NC Surface Irrigation Operator License within 18 months
- Obtain NC Biological Wastewater Operator Grade 2 License within 24 months
- Complete DOT Hazardous Materials Transportation Training within 12 months
Schedule Requirements -
- Works 8 hour shift with ability to work after hour emergencies as needed
