The Business Analyst II works under general supervision to support IT and Business Commercial Lines initiatives. They may lead small sized efforts and support team members throughout the project lifecycle. Under the direction of the senior Business Analysts, they will aide in documenting both business requirements and comprehensive solutions for a number of initiatives. Key Responsibilities: Continue to gain the working knowledge of the IT Organization and business systems that they support. Understand the Platform business objectives and develop a strong working relationship with business partners and stakeholders that they support. Under general supervision, perform analysis and provide quality documentation support for business/functional requirements gathering; process analysis; gap analysis; design of new functionality; and product testing for medium to large sized efforts. Develop and Author test strategy, test plans and test cases. Execute test cases, report test results, and work with the busing to define severity and priority for each defect. Collaborate with others to develop strategies and best practices for QA, regression and UA efforts. Communicate appropriate and timely status updates to the direct manager and project manager. Under the direction of senior Business Analysts, work with business stakeholders to review and document the "as is" state and collaborate with the team to develop solution options and document the "to be" state documentation. Develop knowledge of business and technical domains to evaluate solutions for the systems they support. Under the direction of senior Business Analysts, continue to develop interpersonal skills that will help to understand the importance of collaborating with stakeholders of all types across the organization. Easily adaptable to learning different project methodologies. Learn how to communicate difficult or sensitive information. Key Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in a related area and 1 to 2 years of Business Analyst experience. Ability to work with multiple application methodologies (waterfall, agile etc.) General understanding of the business processes and objectives. Strong planning, organizational and time management skills. Ability to multitask and handle shifts in priorities. Excellent written and verbal skills Ability to think creatively to assist team members in promoting innovation Strong analytical, evaluative skills and the ability to think creatively.
