Lawn Mowing/Tree Crew Crew Member

Overview:

Arbor Medic is seeking a dedicated and hardworking crew member to join our team. As a crew member, you will be responsible for mowing and weedeating accounts independantly 2 days a week. The other 2 days, you will be working on our tree crew. Winter duties include tree work and snow removal. You will automatically be rolled into snow.

Our current schedule is Monday-Thursday. If we have a weather delay or occational job delays, a Friday may be neccessary. Snow schedule does not have set hours.

Duties:

GROUNDSMAN POSITION........ Responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to the following:

-Ability to follow directions and work independently

-Able to lift in excess of 70 lbs,

-Operate a chainsaw safely, to trim and or remove trees/branches.

-Drag and chip brush

-Feed brush and debris into wood chipper.

-Set up warning signs, flags and barriers to protect public and employees.

-Relay hand signals and direct traffic when necessary.

-Drive vehicles under 26,000lbs.

-Keep work area and trucks clean and orderly.

-Drive and shift a vehicle with manual transmission.

-Drive and back vehicles towing trailers.

-Assist in the maintenance of equipment.

-Maintain a clean, organized and safe working environment.

Mow Crew Member:

-Must be able to pull and backup a trailer

-Mowing/ Weed Eating experiance.

-Attention to detail.

Qualifications:

-Athletic, must be able to work from ladders.

-Positive attitude.

-Able to withstand laborious outdoor activity.

-Display a willingness to learn

-Professional and courteous demeanor, and a desire for long-term employment.

-Must show pride in themselves and the work which they perform.

-Must be able to think critically

-Must possess a valid drivers license.

-Must have reliable transportation to and from the shop.

-It is preferred but not required that the applicant have 1 year of experience in tree care operations. Willing to train for the right individual.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $26.00 - $28.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
