Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP)

Job Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Family Nurse Practitioner to join our healthcare team. As a Family Nurse Practitioner, you will provide comprehensive primary care services to patients of all ages. Your role will involve diagnosing and treating acute and chronic illnesses, promoting health and disease prevention, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible patient outcomes. Duties: - Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical history, physical examinations, and diagnostic evaluations - Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients, including prescribing medications, ordering diagnostic tests, and providing referrals to specialists as needed - Perform minor procedures and treatments, such as wound care, suturing, and administering injections - Educate patients and their families on health promotion, disease prevention, and self-care techniques - Utilize electronic medical record systems (e.g., eClinicalWorks) to document patient encounters accurately - Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate patient care and ensure continuity of services - Provide behavioral health counseling and support to patients experiencing mental health or substance abuse issues - Assist with the management of chronic conditions, such as diabetes, hypertension, and asthma - Administer basic life support measures in emergency situations Qualifications: - Valid certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner - Current state licensure as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) - Master's degree in Nursing or related field - Experience in pediatrics is highly desirable - Proficiency in performing diagnostic evaluations and interpreting test results - Knowledge of aseptic technique for procedures such as catheterization and wound care - Familiarity with acute pain management techniques - Basic life support certification required - Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with patients of all ages - Experience working with electronic medical record systems (e.g., eClinicalWorks) is preferred We offer competitive compensation packages and opportunities for professional growth within our organization.
