The Consulting Associate (Justice Programs) supports strategic planning and implementation, process improvement, and performance management working on complex, highly visible programs in grants, justice, and homeland security. This role is ideal for someone with 2-3 years of experience relevant to strategic planning, consulting, and program performance management, who is mission-focused, has great attention to detail, and likes to improve how they deliver solutions to senior clients. 

Responsibilities

  • Supports consulting projects in strategic planning and implementation, performance management, and program management and analysis
  • Supports projects in a complex Federal environment to deliver compelling solutions and collaborate with Government clients and their customers
  • Loves to learn complex mission areas in justice, law enforcement, and homeland security
  • Apply and enhance excellent consulting, business analysis, and communications skills to quickly identify problems, analyze challenges, and recommend solutions to our team and our clients
  • Join our consulting practice to support projects and company growth initiatives, managing multiple workstreams at one time
  • Develop consulting skills and help grow the company outside of your project by participating in new business and strategic initiatives
  • Contribute to our company culture, which promotes client-focused teamwork, learning, and helping others to grow and develop 

Required Qualifications

  • 2-3 years of relevant experience in a project environment, preferably consulting, to design and implement strategies, performance measures, and innovative solutions
  • Experience in process improvement, meeting and stakeholder engagement support, and/or program analysis
  • Ability to support policy and process analysis and develop documents and communications
  • Direct experience with client and stakeholder engagement (including senior-level leaders) and delivering work products for clients in a complex stakeholder environment
  • Proven to be flexible and thrive in a dynamic, ambiguous, and complex work environment and manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
  • Outstanding written and oral communication and collaboration skills and strong leadership potential
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Technologically savvy, especially with Microsoft products and use of collaboration tools such as Teams and SharePoint
  • Desire to join a consulting firm and learn business concepts; loves to collaborate and reach out to get involved in company events, offerings, and special projects
  • Clearance: US Citizenship required (no dual citizenship) / ability to obtain a security clearance
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree
  • Critical Skills: Entrepreneurial spirit, strong work ethic, excellent problem-solving skills, resilience, flexibility, learning-oriented, excited to engage
