Controller

Description

Essential Duties:

• Prepares input for monthly financial reporting as well as forecasts, strategic plans, and capital appropriations;

• Insures that all financial forecasts and transactions adhere to generally acceptable accounting practices (GAAP);

• Develops and maintains the standard cost systems;

• Assist CFO on treasury management, managing intercompany funding, and company cash flow;

• Coordinates the SBU’s monthly close which includes journal voucher entry, cost and revenue recognition;

• Analyzes and reports variances from plan;

• Prepares special analysis on capital and tooling expenditures to insure fiscal guidelines are met;

• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

Education/Training: 

• Bachelors degree in Business Administration with a major in Accounting required or equivalent experience. MBA or CPA preferred;

Experience:

• 8 years of applicable experience. Applicable experience should be in a high rate production-manufacturing environment;

• 2 years of supervisory experience preferred;

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

• Knowledge of mainframe accounting systems required;

• Proficiency of personal computer spreadsheet application required.
