What are the responsibilities and job description for the Behavior Specialist position at Arc Broward?
As a Behavior Specialist, you will be responsible for assisting the Behavioral Team Leader and BCBA to conduct Behavioral Assessments and develop Behavior Plans using approved Applied Behavior Analysis techniques and strategies; trains, monitors, and assists counselors in the implementation of the behavior plans.

What does a Behavioral Specialist Do?
- Plays an essential role in helping amazing children and young adults live their best lives
- Assists the Behavioral Team Leader in developing behavioral plans to help the children achieve success and thrive
- Trains, monitors and assists counselors in the implementation of the behavior plans
- Engages children and leads team in strategies to prevent and de-escalate crisis behaviors
Required Qualification/Skills:
- High School Diploma/GED
- RBT Certification (preferred upon hire or required within 6 months of hire)
- 3 or more years of experience including implementation of ABA plans with individuals with developmental disabilities.
- Valid FL drivers license
Salary:
- $42,000 annually
