Arc Herkimer is looking for a Bartender /Wait Staff for the MV Golf and Event Center.

The Bartender/ Wait Staff assists in daily restaurant operations, setting dining areas, serving food and beverages to club members and guests, and the food & beverage service associated with organized golf outings and special events, such as banquets, weddings and meetings.  

Part time/ Seasonal position- 20 hours/ week.  This position includes days 11am- 5pm and some evenings.  Anticipated to start April 1st.  The season is anticipated through November. 

Salary: $10/ hour plus $4.20 tip credit. 

Responsibilities include: 

• Provide excellent guest service to all members, guests, and staff.
• Ensure all newly seated patrons receive immediate attention and orders are taken promptly and courteously.
• Check identification to verify legal age requirements of all customers ordering alcoholic beverages.
• Serve meals and beverages to members and guests according to standard operating procedures, working in a fine dining environment.
• Observe diners to respond to any additional requests and to determine when meal has been completed.
• Prepare tables, laying out napkins and utensils, making sure the condiments are refilled, and perform all other preparation tasks.
• Maintain stocked work area.
• Assist in maintaining responsibility for dining area cleanliness and organization. Responsible for constant sanitation, organization, and proper food handling.
• Balance cash and credit card charges and use point of sale system.
• Communicate any complaints with supervisor.
• Complete tasks assigned during non-busy hours.
• Assist with special events as assigned.
• Report to work as scheduled, in uniform, and ready to work.
• Maintain good personal appearance and observe personal cleanliness at all times.
• Ability to have a flexible schedule.
• Undertake other duties, responsibilities, and projects as may be required by supervisor.

Position requirements: 

• High School Diploma/GED preferred.
• One year food service experience preferred. 
• One year customer service preferred.
• Must be 18 years or older.
