As the Product Systems & Process Specialist for Footwear, you act on behalf of the Footwear  teams to support the evolution and management of all Footwear related systems, business processes and tools. You partner closely with multiple stakeholders throughout the organization to identify best in class solutions, provide input on proposed solutions, and help coordinate overall implementation for any specialized systems that support Footwear product. You support the longer-term rollout ofFootwear business processes within our Centric Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) tool.


This role is based out of our Portland office and is expected to be performed on-location.

The Product Operations team optimizes the intersection of all product teams, supporting through cross-functional teams to improve alignment, communication, and processes around the product. We build a foundation for excellence through reinforcing product strategy with metrics, infrastructure, business processes, best practices, budgeting and reporting.

If you were the Product Systems & Process Specialist now, here are some of the core activities you would be doing:
  • Identifying and documenting business requirements and processes to support the Footwear Design, Development and Merchandising teams as they relate to Centric and Plasma PLM systems
  • Mapping the overall processes of the Footwear Design, Development and Merchandising teams in their current state (using the Plasma system) and ideal future state, using Centric PLM
  • Relaying Footwear business requirements to the project team and partnering closely with the internal Centric team to configure our PLM to meet business needs
  • Ensuring best practices and process optimization are considered throughout project design stages
  • Supporting project teams with the planning and execution of system integration testing and user acceptance testing, including validation of test scenarios and ensuring business engagement
  • Partnering with BI/Data & Analytics teams, or other project teams to identify reporting requirements and ensure data consistency

  • Maintaining user guides and online help tools including Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and process maps, using standard templates
  • Upholding Fair Labor Association’s Workplace Code of Conduct and Principles of Fair Labor and Responsible Sourcing throughout the Arc’teryx supply chain


Here are some of the things you could be working on in the future:
  • Collaborating with members of the Footwear Development and Centric Teams on various projects to create systems and process efficiencies
  • Acting as the point of contact and representative of the Footwear team’s processes and requirements, ensuring end-to-end needs are considered across proposed business processes and solutions
  • Leading business case creation for new system functionality or enhancements to current practice as required
  • Identifying newly required processes and initiating change within the Footwear business team to ensure successful change management
  • Communicating project end-states consistently to the project team and notifying project leadership of any challenges to plans


Are you our next Product Systems & Process Specialist?
  • You have 3 years’ work experience in a footwear development or footwear merchandising focused role
  • You have solid knowledge of PLM systems, product development and merchandising processes
  • You comfortably navigate Centric 8 PLM and Microsoft Excel
  • You have prior system implementation experience
  • You have strong Project Management skills
  • You have a drive to learn and participate
  • You are an excellent collaborator, able to work effectively within a team
  • You are comfortable making connections and asking questions to investigate processes
  • You are adaptable and forward thinking
  • You are able to step in and take charge with minimal instruction
  • You are able to prioritize and manage multiple tasks within tight deadlines
  • You have advanced analytical skills with a strong aptitude for spreadsheets
  • You have excellent written and verbal communication skills, and exceptional attention to detail
  • You are able to travel internationally as required
  • You are proactive in identifying the root cause of issues and developing solutions
  • You remain highly flexible and adaptable when faced with ambiguity

$67,000 - $84,000 a year
A reasonable estimate of thepay range is $67,000 - $84,000 USD at the time of this posting. Within the range, individual pay is determined by factors such as job-related skills, relevant experience, education and/or training. 

Please note that the range details above reflect the base pay only and does not include our competitive bonus program and benefits that we offer.
