Role description:
Arcadis is seeking a Electrical Engineer to join our West Coast Design and Engineering team.
As an Electrical Engineer you will lead the Electrical discipline of multiple concurrent projects through pursuits, proposal, design, and construction phases. You will be responsible for leading design efforts and serve as the engineer of record. You will also support proposal and business development efforts, working with project teams, other senior and junior engineers, project managers, and clients designing power distribution, lighting, telecom and fire alarm systems on various projects. This role is remote although you must live on the West Coast as there will be client visits required at times.

Role accountabilities:
- Self-motivated and team-oriented with the ability to work both independently and within a team. Exceptional attention to detail with strong organizational skills.
- Work with design teams to develop construction-ready drawing packages with inter-discipline coordination. Design for available capacity, redundancy, reliability, efficiency, and safety, as well as constructability and cost. Inter-discipline knowledge of facility systems. Experience developing solutions to complex projects.
- Travel to project sites for engineering site surveys, data collection for system studies, system audits and collaboration with clients’ team members.
- Knowledge of industry standards, building codes, and safety standards such as NFPA, NEC, NETA, ANSI, IEEE, UL, UFC, UBC as well as international standards such as IEC, CE, EN.
- Fluency in design and modeling software (AutoCAD, Revit, Elum Tools, ACC/BIM360, SKM, ETAP, EDSA, Easy Power).
- Ability to perform various system studies (arc flash, load, short circuit, coordination).
- Work with designers and other engineers to develop sealed drawings of your designs. Provide mentoring to junior staff and receive mentoring from senior staff.
- BS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
- 4 or more years of relevant experience in Electrical Engineering
- PE Registration
- Experience with Fire Alarm Design , Mission Critical Projects and or Data Centers
- Significant experience leading design teams.
- Lean design and construction experience.
- LEED accredited professional / PMP certification.
