Role description:
Our new Project Architect would work as part of a team and be responsible for the development of deliverables across the entire spectrum of base bid design services, including Pre-Design (PD), Schematic Design (SD), Detailed Design (DD), Permitting, Construction Documents (CDs) and Construction Administration (CA) services. Work in these design phases would be across a variety of Industrial construction project types (for both Private and Governmental Clients), doing light and heavy Industrial Market Sector work such as, but not limited to, Automotive, Food & Beverage, Life Science, Oil & Gas, Chemical, and Conglomerates.
Role accountabilities:
Working with Project Manager and other Engineering Disciplines to prepare design presentations and produce documents.
Coordinating with other discipline leads including (CIVL, STRU, MECH, ELEC, PLMB, FLS, WWTR, etc.) to provide an Integrated Project Delivery (IPD).
PD, SD, DD, & CD design activities (depending on a project’s design phase)
Developing designs in coordination with client’s requirements, specifications, and goals.
Communicating design ideas through the use of sketches, and computer design tools such as REVIT/ Additional skill set in these software platforms is a plus: BIM360, AutoCAD, & Enscape
Generating technical drawings and technical specifications such as floor plans, sections, elevations, detail, and schedules to convey design intent and criteria.
Facility Code Analysis and Life safety Analysis
Development of Quantity takeoffs, of facility components, for Arcadis Cost Estimates to provide pricing and cost estimates
Assisting the project team during the construction phase by reviewing RFIs, shop drawings submitted material samples.
Qualifications & Experience:
Natural or Acquired U.S. Citizenship
A Bachelor of Architecture degree from an accredited school.
5 to 8 years of facility design experience in a professional company setting where Architectural/Engineering design services were performed and billed.
3 to 5 years of experience in BIM modeling and Architectural Documentation
Current Registered Architect Licensure in any State or Canadian Province
An Active NCARB Certification on file.
Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with Maximum Allowable Quantity (MAQ) Analysis
Proficient in component detailing including exterior Building Envelopes, Interior fit & finishes, door & door hardware, & roofing. Etc.)
LEED AP or BREEAM Certified.
