Responsibilities
The individual selected for this position will support the customer’s cyber defense organization, which is responsible for elevating technical analysis functions by integrating the science and technology data environment and enabling mission management through data-driven feedback. The cyber defense staff seeks an engineer to support the architecture, design, implementation, and maintenance of a secure, customer-compliant Hybrid Cloud Architecture. The selected candidate will be charged with helping the customer effort in “Getting to Green.”
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Support cyber security governance, risk, and compliance
- Provide interpretation and consultation support for the sponsor’s Accreditation and Authorization process
- Contribute cyber security to business translation and guidance for IT project development
Qualifications
- Current TS/SCI w/poly
- Bachelor's degree in Network Security/Engineering, Information Assurance, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a scientific or technical discipline
- BS 12-15, MS 10-13, PhD 8-10
- 16 years' experience
- Experience with various cybersecurity related items to include ATOs, A&As, and UAM
- Knowledge and demonstrated experience in cloud-based computing environment supporting and administering cloud products & services
- Demonstrated hands-on experience assessing system security controls.
- Demonstrated experience should include an in-depth knowledge of cybersecurity, cloud computing (esp. AWS) and data / application security technologies
- Working knowledge of ICD 503 and CNSS 1253
- Solid understanding of RBACK, hardening of an OS and required sponsor documentation
- Demonstrated experience working and interacting with other engineering groups to define, document, analyze, perform, and interpret tests for product, systems, or components.
Desired:
- Experience securing legacy, hybrid, and cloud-based solutions
- Hold an active CISSP certification
- Master's in Network Security/Engineering, Information Assurance, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a scientific or technical discipline
