Summary
- Performs inspections and sets quality assurance testing models for analysis of raw materials, materials in process, and finished products.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Works under general supervision; typically reports to a supervisor or manager. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required.
- Verifies physical properties and size of materials such as plates, sheets, castings, forgings, bar stock, and work produced by machines and secondary operations.
- Inspects high value, complex and tight tolerance parts accurately and dependably, utilizing all available types of mechanical and computerized inspection equipment.
- Read a 2D drawing and familiar with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
- Performs FPV/FAIR and documents results.
- Reports and tracks inspection results. Stores quality records for completed parts in the inspection history folders.
- Identifies and selects an inspection technique to understand and improve the capability of our process. Actively identifies and uses alternative inspection techniques to validate results.
- Utilizes statistical techniques to understand and improve the capability of our processes.
- Communicates quality issues back to appropriate stakeholders - tracks corrective action.
- Confers with engineers, production personnel, or others to resolve quality problems.

Education and/or Experience
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
Language Skills
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common technical documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries from members of the team in a clear and courteous way. Ability to effectively present information to team members.
Mathematical Skills
- Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
- Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.
Reasoning Ability
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardized exists.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Gathers and analyzes information skillfully and identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner
Computer Skills
- Knowledge in Word processing, spreadsheet software, and general Office software

Compensation: Hourly Wage Range $16.00 - $20.00 depending on experience.
