What are the responsibilities and job description for the High School Entrepreneurship and Social Studies Teacher position at Archbishop Williams High?
Archbishop Williams High School, a Catholic, co-educational, independent Grades 7-12 school, is seeking a dynamic mission driven teacher of Entrepreneurship, Business, and Social Studies for the 2024-2025 school year. This is a new position, expanding our Social Studies department to meet the rising demand from our student population for courses in Entrepreneurship, Finance, and Economics. The job would come with wide academic freedom to build a program both in terms of coursework and co-curricular activities. The course schedule for next year would be two sections of a year-long elective course entitled "Finance and Entrepreneurship," one section of "Personal Finance" and two sections of US History. In future years, there is also the opportunity to teach AP Economics. There are also many members of our broader community looking to partner with us in these areas. AWHS hopes this will become a signature academic area for our school and is willing to invest accordingly.
