Team Leader - Linen Distribution 

Description:

 Ensure the proper transportation clean linen of in covered carts to designated areas

Verify the quantities linen delivered of to be

Perform linen inventory as required

 Communicate effectively with supervisor regarding potential issues andinen quality lconcerns

 Help maintain department clean, orderly and safe

Adherence established procedures and requirements to of the organization

 Operates equipment and performs duties related to the successful operation theof department, as needed

 Understand, observe and adhere all safety procedures and to policies

Utilizes management criteria to linen room and supply clean linen to patient floors and other patient care units

Maintains a safe environment for patients, visitors and staff

Demonstrates effective implementation of management skills

 Adhere to Joint Commission Standards

Assist and perform other duties as assigned

 

Experience/Education:

High school graduate or GED certificate required

1 year experience as linen tech

Demonstrated leadership ability.

Must have a thorough knowledge of the methods and procedures for ordering and distributing hospital linen

Must understand PAR levels and be able to order linens to sustain needed linens for our facility

Must be able to demonstrate and/or teach the proper operation of all linen room methods and procedures

Must be able to teach basic safety procedures

Must interrelate well with fellow employees and the general public

Must communicate well both orally and in writing

Must have good organizational, motivational and leadership abilities

Must have good physical and mental dexterity

Must be able to perform under delegation style management

Must have ability to handle stressful situations using good judgment

Must be able to move linen counts in and out of linen room to the floors. Some areas have inclines which make moving carts physically harder than other areas; be able to lift moderate loads, reach and stoop.
