What are the responsibilities and job description for the Teacher, Pre K4 '23-24 position at Archdiocese of Baltimore?
Cardinal Shehan School is seeking a PreK 4 teacher for the 2023 - 2024 school year. This teacher has the opportunity to become part of a dynamic school community and would be responsible for instruction in all core subjects including religion in a self-contained classroom.
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop and document weekly lesson plans consistent with curriculum guidelines
- Provide grade appropriate instructional program within the content of the Archdiocesan Curriculum in all subject areas
- Maintain high professional standards consistent with the mission of the school and the teachings of the Catholic Church
- Responsible for the safety and active supervision of students at all times and for classroom management
- Implement lessons utilizing techniques to motivate, challenge and engage students
- Interact effectively and respond to all parent communication in a professional and timely manner
- Participate in all faculty meetings, retreats, school committees and in-service learning opportunities
- Work collaboratively with other teachers, staff and administration
- Actively participate in ongoing professional development and professional learning communities
Job Requirements:
Qualifications:
- Degree in Elementary Education
- Current MSDE certification or willingness to pursue certification
- Experience in a Catholic School setting is preferred
- Must be a practicing Catholic
- Must be comfortable with technology
- Must have a commitment to Catholic School education.
