What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance position at Archdiocese of Detroit?
Notre Dame Preparatory School and Marist Academy is a private, Catholic, independent, coeducational day school located in Oakland County. We have an immediate opening for a full-time maintenance employee. The hours for the position are 8am-4pm Monday – Friday. There may be occasional overtime and/or weekend hours required.
Responsibilities:
In general, maintenance employees are responsible for ensuring that the school facilities remain clean and in safe working order.
Specific tasks include:
A wide variety of general and semi-skilled maintenance activities (mechanical, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, janitorial, etc.)
Set-up and take-down of tables, chairs and other furnishings or equipment for special events
Installation, maintenance and repair of equipment and facilities
Cleaning and organization of various maintenance and storage areas across campus
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent
Possess necessary maintenance/janitorial skills
Previous maintenance/janitorial experience preferred
General knowledge of janitorial supplies
Ability to lift at least 50 pounds.
Self-starter and motivated worker
