Job Posting for Technology/ Media Teacher at Archdiocese of Miami
Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic School in Miami, Florida is hiring a qualified Technology / Media Teacher, for the upcoming 2024-25 school year, who is willing to learn as technology changes and sees teaching as a vocation as well as a ministry. The individual will be responsible for the teaching of computers to grades PK-8 and assist with IT duties. The Technology Teacher performs all duties and responsibilities in alignment with the mission, vision, and values of the Catholic Archdiocese of Miami.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in a Computer Science. Computer Science certification preferred.
Three years of teaching experience.
Knowledge and experience implementing educational technology in the classroom preferred.
Knowledge in working with Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
Experience working with Windows and Apple operating systems, including iPads preferred.
Experience working with educational computer software, its installation and configuration preferred. Able to work support with outside support systems.
Must be able to do basic computer, email, and network login troubleshooting.
Excellent classroom management skills.
Must be knowledgeable in an array of educational computer software.
Must be able to collaborate and co-teach with the general education teachers as needed.
Supportive and respectful of the mission and tenets of the Roman Catholic Church; experience in Roman Catholic educational environment preferred.
Must have a professional demeanor.
