Job Title: Science Teacher - Grades 9-12Department: AcademicsReports to: Principal, Director of Curriculum and Instruction Job Summary: The candidate must have strong subject-matter knowledge; effective written and verbal communication skills, excellent time management, organization, and multi-tasking skills, and can prepare, plan, create, and execute informative and engaging lesson plans for their subjects. The candidate must demonstrate the ability to differentiate classroom instruction to accommodate various classroom learners Science Sequence of Courses: 9th Grade: Biology10th Grade: Chemistry11th Grade: Environmental Science12th Grade: Physics and Anatomy & PhysiologyLifetime FitnessHealthPrimary Roles and Responsibilities: Plan and implement rigorous and engaging lesson plans in alignment with Pre-AP, and AP StandardsTeach a full-time courseload, lead seminar groups, and participate in supervisory duties. Use data effectively to encourage and assess student growth and inform instruction Create a classroom culture built on respect, growth, and love of learning.Use engaging strategies and cooperative learning techniques.
