Director, Food Science Intelligence and Wholesome Solution, Human Nutrition, Archer Daniels Midland Company, Decatur, IL. Lead global teams to understand sciences behind food ingredients’ performance in protein-enriched food applications. Develop new sustainable wholesome nutrition solution. Serve as Science and Technology (S&T) lead for data intelligence and predictive tools for food ingredients and nutrition. Ensure S&T portfolio is aligned with food business strategy. Collaborate with internal and external partners to create and deliver values.
40 hrs/week, Mon-Fri, 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Ph.D. degree, or foreign equivalent degree, in Food Science, Physics, Chemistry, Nutrition or a related discipline and five (5) years of related work experience.
Must have five (5) years of experience with/in each of the following:
· Leading a team to build predictive tools for new food ingredients development and nutrition food formulation.
· Applying technical knowledge of alternative proteins, flavors, taste, color, and other nutrition ingredients to inform internal research strategy and new product development.
· Developing novel nutrition products based on knowledge of food science.
· Industry experience in a science driven new product development setting.
· Ensuring adherence to food and food ingredient regulations.
· Managing complex projects involving multiple functional teams.
· Developing research strategies to enable nutrition business strategy.
· Communicating strategies to senior leaders for approval.
Up to 20% domestic travel required.
