What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Inspector, NDT UT, level 2 position at Archer?
The opportunity
As a member of our quality team you will help define the inspection process for our first certified aircraft. You will help us achieve airline-like levels of safety while offering urban air transportation at a price accessible to all, setting the bar for the entire advanced air mobility industry.
What you’ll do
- Set up and calibrate nondestructive testing equipment.
- Conduct tests to ensure quality or detect defects using NDT methods of inspection.
- Establish and follow techniques for examination of objects under inspection.
- Apply testing criteria in accordance with applicable specifications and evaluate results.
- Organize and release test results and reports.
- Perform both general airplane and specialized composite ultrasonic inspections.
What you need
- High School Diploma or equivalent, some college preferred.
- NDT Level II Certification in ultrasonic testing (UT)
- Demonstrated ability to perform assigned NDT tasks and interpret results of inspections.
- Experience with MES/SAP systems and completing inspection plans electronically
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment in aerospace or other highly regulated environments
- Ability to travel 20% of the time, including 6-8 weeks in Portland, OR for training.
Bonus qualifications
- Penetrant Testing (PT), Eddy Current Testing (ET) Certification
- Experience with composite bond line inspections
- Experience completing first article inspections with working knowledge of the tools required for inspection
- Experience working in with model based definition or fully dimensional 3D models

Actual compensation offered will be determined by factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
