Kitchen Assistant

WHO YOU ARE:

• You are positive, professional, and personable. 
• You love to work with a team to develop concepts, but also love to work independently to see those concepts through to completion. You are a collaborative self-starter.  
• With a growth mindset, you display enthusiasm to continually learn and share new information.
• You are at least 21 years of age and certified in food handling and responsible beverage service (or will complete training within 30 days of hire).

WHAT YOU’LL DO:
 As Kitchen Assistant, you will develop and execute our culinary offerings, working with the Tasting Room Manager to decide how to best enhance the experience of every winery guest.  

General responsibilities to include (but not limited to):

• Develop and execute a small, a la carte menu for guests to purchase on the fly (e.g., charcuterie boards, fresh local bread and butter, paninis, salads, pizza, etc.)
• Stock and maintain tasting room “snack box” with appropriate pre-packaged foods (e.g., sparkling water/soda, chips, nuts)
• Create and maintain vendor relationships to source products with a goal to be operationally effective and cost-efficient. Work with Tasting Room Manager on budgets and costing. 
• Receive product deliveries, ensuring order and invoice accuracy
• Handle, store and rotate all products properly to prevent waste 
• Maintain general organization and cleanliness of prep kitchen and Salumi Room, including washing dishes throughout the day between food service.
• Clean and maintain all prep kitchen equipment. Report any repair issues to Tasting Room Manager.

The projected hourly pay range for this position is $17 to $20 per hour (in addition to tips and commission).  The stated range/rate is the projected compensation for this position however the actual compensation offered may vary based on job-related factors such as (but not limited to) candidate qualifications, related experience and education, candidate work location and market data.  Crimson Wine Group reserves the right to modify the pay range/rate at any time in the future.
