This is a fully onsite position in the Dallas-Fort Worth, TX area.
Key Responsibilities:
- Utilize BIM software (such as Revit and Navisworks) to design and model HVAC systems for construction projects.
- Collaborate with project teams to develop detailed HVAC plans, layouts, and schematics that meet project requirements and industry standards.
- Ensure accuracy and compliance with building codes, specifications, and regulatory requirements in all HVAC designs.
- Conduct clash detection and coordination with other trades to resolve conflicts and optimize system integration.
- Generate accurate quantity takeoffs and material schedules for HVAC components.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in BIM and HVAC design.
- Provide technical support and guidance to project teams throughout the design and construction phases.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors, and clients to ensure seamless project delivery.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a BIM Designer specializing in HVAC duct work, with proficiency in BIM360, Revit and Navisworks.
- Strong understanding of HVAC principles, equipment, and design standards.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with the ability to identify and resolve design conflicts.
- Familiarity with building codes, regulations, and industry standards related to HVAC design and construction.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work in a team environment and interact with diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
