Summary
To work as a part of a toddler team under the direction of the Preschool Supervisor: Early Childhood to provide safe high-quality care and instruction for young children.
Duties and Responsibilities
Provide 100% interaction with and attention to children while providing a range of stimulating activities which promote all areas of learning.
Provide and lead instruction in both classroom and outside learning environments, utilizing curriculum provided by Archild.
Ensure all children have equal access to opportunities to learn and develop based upon their individual’s needs and learning styles.
Ensure that all activities are carried out in a safe and responsible manner. Maintain classroom ratios at all times.
Ensure that the pre-school offers the highest standards of physical and emotional care, health and safety, and personal and classroom hygiene at all times.
Complete observations and record keeping/documentation in database, relating to the progress and development of the children. This must be completed on a daily basis.
Follow all Archild policies regarding safety (i.e.; dress code, cell phone usage,) confidentiality, attendance and punctuality.
Promoting positive values, attitudes and appropriate child behavior. Dealing promptly with conflict and incidents in line with Conscious Discipline and Archild policies and procedures.
Maintain a positive approach to continuous professional development.
Complete required 25 hours of annual training for licensure and Better Beginnings.
Demonstrate flexibility in classroom assignment when necessary for maintenance of classroom staff to child ratios.
Have a working knowledge of each child in the classroom with respect to their name, age, disability (if applicable), program plan, (educational or therapeutic) goals, medication, feeding risks and other special needs.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements: High school diploma or GED or ; Teaching experience: 2 year (Preferred)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $13.00 - $17.00 per hour
