WordPress Web Designer

We have an immediate need for someone who can work independently to build professional websites from start to finish using WordPress - no PHP programming required. You will be the one responsible to get the job done, but have the support of a senior level web designer when you get stuck. Qualifications:

• WordPress experience is required.
• Proficient in HTML5 and CSS/stylesheets.
• Responsive web design experience.
• Cross-browser compatibility.
• Fundamental skills in either Adobe Photoshop or Fireworks.
• SEO awareness is a plus. Ability is a huge plus and will be compensated.
• Minimum one (1) year of experience with WordPress

What You Will Be Doing:

Develop websites from start to finish:

• You will not have to interface with the client. You will be responsible for building the client websites from start to finish including choosing the WordPress theme (or building a custom theme if you know how), setting up the website, determining which plugins to use, determining how to organize/layout the content that's provided to you, and implement the layout so the page is responsive for all device types.

Update existing websites:

• Add blog posts, update page content, add new functionality using plugins, etc.
• Implement changes to client websites that will improve Google rankings or will improve on-page conversion rates. Direction will be given to you by the Internet marketing manager
• Perform website upgrades including the WordPress framework, plugins, and themes.
• You will be the first level support person to resolve issues on client websites. You will not be required to interface with clients - client communication will be handled by the client experience manager.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
