Position: Plant Controller
Position Type: Direct Hire
Compensation: UP to $125K
Location: Northeastern Oklahoma
Archon Resources has partnered with a growing manufacturing company seeking a Plant Controller. This posiiton is just north of Tulsa and will provide a great opportunity for a collaborative leader. The Plant Controller will be directly responsible for accounting, budgeting and forecasting for the plant and will report to
the corporate controller. This includes, but not limited to, cost accounting, financial analysis, fixed assets and general ledger accounting, account reconciliations. This is a hands on leadership role.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for all of cost accounting functions at plant
- Build and maintain accurate product costing models including materials, labor and overhead
- Review raw material pricing with plant buyer periodically to determine the impact on the product cost
- Maintain inventory records, review inventory transactions, monitor cycle count process, and verify and post inventory adjustments
- Prepare month end inventory report and reconcile it to the general ledger accounts
- Perform capital project analysis
- Lead the preparation of plant annual budget and monthly/quarterly forecasts
- Prepare plant actual costing report compared to budget on monthly basis for variance analysis
- Develop various production financial reports and projections to support plant management to track and measure performance
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts; performs month end closing activities; assists with financial audits
- Perform other duties & projects as assigned
EXPERIENCE / SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Minimum of 4-year experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience in cost accounting; budgeting and forecasting
- Ability to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced environment with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness
- Strong analytical skills and good at transforming data into information
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Required travel 25 – 50%
- Experience in a private equity environment is a plus
EDUCATION:
- Undergraduate degree in Accounting
- CPA or MBA a plus
