Corp EH&S Manager

Arclin USA is seeking talent for a Corporate EHS Manager. Reporting into the Corporate Director of EHS, the EH&S Manager will be responsible for providing support to Arclin’s operating facilities specific to health, safety, and environmental protection of Arclin’s employees, community, and surroundings; while balancing business risks and requirements. This position will play a significant role in the process safety management program rolled out to sites, and as well as site and/or capital project support.  The EHS Manager position has no direct reports and must lead through influencing others.

EHS Manager Job Responsibilities:

• Partner with facilities to guide the implementation of EHS and ESG strategies (OGSM)
• Assist Arclin leadership and facilities in understanding and compliance with federal, state and local laws, regulations, rules and codes within US and Canada
• Responsible for the development and implementation of the Health, Safety and Environmental (EHS) programs and policies. Act as the Subject Matter Expert for various EHS and PSM topics. 
• Provide oversight and support for the site Process Safety Management (PSM) and Risk Management Plan (RMP) system.
• Measure effectiveness of EHS program implementation, provide updates to leadership and determine best path forward in achieving Arclin’s Journey to Zero path.
• Implement initiatives designed to identify, evaluate and control EHS related risks using a risk-based continuous improvement mindset. 
• Conduct periodic site assessments of site EH&S programs and audits.  Serve as auditor in accordance to schedule for EHS and PSM programs using a risk-based focus. 
• Trending of EHS performance metrics and audit findings to gauge current state and provide basis for continuous improvement.  Able to communicate these to upper management and set the course for site compliance and success.
• Keep up to speed and aid Arclin in compliance with existing or emerging regulations such as State, Local, and Federal EHS regulations, such as OSHA, EPA, DOT/FRA, local Environmental Quality Boards, Canadian regulation, among others
• Lead or facilitate incident investigations, including determination of root causes and development of corrective actions to prevent recurrence. Provide oversight and management of site EH&S related action items.
• Provide support on capital projects, including completion of new installations.

EH&S Manager Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or other STEM related field.
• 7 years’ experience in environmental, health, safety, and industrial hygiene.
• Experience in process safety management preferred.
• Experience with environmental permitting
• DOT/FRA experience a plus
• Detail Oriented and ability to handle multiple tasks in fast paced environment.
• Microsoft Office including Advanced Excel skills.
• Must be able to maintain collaborative working relationships with plant staff, production supervisors, operators and maintenance personnel
• Must be able to travel 35-40%; must be available to respond to incidents and/or provide coverage after hours, as required. 
• Ability to operate safely in a manufacturing environment; this may include, but is not limited to potentially lifting up to 20 lbs., standing for extended periods of time bending, crouching, stooping, rotating, climbing stairs, or any combination of the aforementioned, etc.

• Approved degreed programs such as: Chemistry, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, and Finance. 
• You must complete the program within 6 years.
