Arcosa Aggregates is searching for an Accounting Intern for our Arlington, TX plant. In this role you will support a positive safety culture by assisting with the activities and engaging with staff within a mining environment that is regulated by MSHA safety standards. As an Accounting Intern, you will work alongside your hiring manager, mentor, and team to complete accounting tasks critical for Arcosa Aggregate’s success.

What You’ll Do:
• Comply with all industry safety rules, procedures and applicable government regulations.
• Prepares and consolidates results and budgets
• Coordinates and issues actual and forecast reporting
• Analyzes various GL accounts
• Data entry work as required
• Develop a presentation around your activities and present to management at the end of your internship
• Broader work or accountabilities may be assigned as needed
What You’ll Need:
• Effective oral and written communication skills
• Qualified undergraduate student enrolled in one of the following degrees or related programs: Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related discipline
• Ability to balance multiple priorities
• Intermediate to advanced Excel
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Positive attitude and strong willingness to learn from mentors and peers
• Ability to work a minimum of 40 hours per week for the duration of the internship. (10 weeks)
• Must reside in the DFW Metroplex Area
