Arcosa Tank is seeking a Distribution Center Operations Manager. In this role you will be responsible for and will answer to site-level Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost KPIs and activities under your direct supervision. You will also be responsible for the operation and management of company standard work & policies and procedures with an expectation of improving current processes for organizational-wide best practice improvements.

What you’ll do:
- Ensure, direct, and promote our safety program and culture, reinforcing sustainable processes and actions of all team members, suppliers, and partners while on site
- Supervise and improve the process to ensure efficient and cost-effective operation & utilization
- Drive documented workflows throughout the DC, including inbound load-receiving, put away, picking, shipping, and administrative activities within our ERP and TMS
- Ensure KPI goals and objectives are met driving the expectation of 100% perfect orders
- Lead and promote team engagement in daily stand up kick-off meetings highlighting SQDC and communicate/engage with Value Stream team in daily morning GEMBA meetings
- Interact and lead yard crews promoting best practices aligned with other company facilities and coach mobile equipment leads and supervisors to ensure safe loading/unloading
- Ensure proper staffing and equipment levels are met to ensure efficient operations
- Develop and adhere to monthly MRO forecast and spend budget
- Maintain proper inventory control (FIFO), leading weekly cycle counts, and maintaining clean and organized operations preserving product integrity to the customer
- Daily communications with carriers and customers ensuring proper trailer and power availability
- Strong communication and motivational techniques in supervising, counseling, and disciplining subordinates
- Assist in the recruiting and development of mobile equipment operators, as needed
- Set clear and consistent expectations for performance, hold teams and individuals accountable and leverage resources available
- Show ownership of all aspects of plant staffing and drive retention
- Special projects and other duties as assigned
What you’ll need:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- 3 years of previous supervisory experience
- 5 years of experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, or distribution environment
- Ability to learn and operate computer software systems, including ERP & TMS.
- Working knowledge of Safety & Lean/Six Sigma principles
- Continuous improvement related certification or education preferred.
- Strong leadership, and coaching skills Management Skills preferred with emphasis on leadership, supervision, motivation, communication, and planning
- Broad knowledge of warehouse management systems & transportation management systems, as well as materials handling equipment
- Strong analytical, organizational, decision-making abilities
- Flexibility to be available after hours, weekends and holidays as needed to support operations
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Microsoft Office suite experience and proficiency with Excel
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred
Working Conditions:
- Full-time position
- Work environment includes plant, warehouse, production and non-production areas, and plant grounds.
- This position may require work/maintenance coverage beyond the normal hours, shift, and on weekends/holidays
- Ability to tolerate both high and low temperatures, loud noises typical of a manufacturing plant
