Production supervisor

Arcosa Traffic Structures is seeking a Production Operations Supervisor . In this role, you will support a positive safety culture by planning and directing production activities and staff, you will supervise departments and work to achieve plant goals while maintaining a high standard for safety, quality, and productivity.

We are an AWS and AISC certified fabricator of overhead steel and aluminum sign structures, tolling gantry structures, mono tube sign and signal structures, signal mast arm poles, strain poles, high mast lighting poles, bridge mounts, multi-post beams, sign arms, and all types of miscellaneous steel fabrication.

Arcosa Traffic Structures can provide engineer designed structures and state DOT specified designed structures to fit your project requirements.

Location : Sumterville, FL

What you'll do :

• Establish functional business plans and technical objectives to meet short term and long-term goals of the organization
• Coordinate and supervise daily activities of non-exempt and hourly employees
• Set priorities for the team and ensure task completion
• Interpret and execute policies and procedures in accordance with Arcosa policies
• Monitor processes to ensure quality and cost effectiveness
• Coaching / Leadership in production
• Coordinate galvanizing loads to support deliveries
• Ensure On Time delivery to customers
• Communicate with Master Scheduler to ensure product will be available
• Promote safety, quality and delivery
• Support Continuous improvement
• Administer all policies consistently and fairly
• Ensure all Quality hold points are followed and all travelers are reviewed and signed off prior to submission to QA department
• Other duties as assigned

What you'll need :

• years of supervisory or lead experience in heavy manufacturing environment
• Ability to read, write and speak proficiently in English
• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Must have previous supervisory experience
• Ability to provide clear, explicit verbal directions and create a positive learning environment
• Ability to schedule shop flow and execute plant goals
• Ability to analyze and solve issues pertaining to quality, safety, and production
• Good communication skills and the ability to work within a teamwork environment
• Regular and predictable attendance

Working Conditions :

• Hourly full-time position
• Safety sensitive role
• Work environment includes plant, warehouse, production and non-production areas and plant grounds.
• This position may require work / maintenance coverage beyond the normal hours, shift, and on weekends / holidays
• Ability to tolerate both high and low temperatures, loud noises typical of a manufacturing plant
