THE OPPORTUNITY
Arcturus Therapeutics is seeking a highly motivated hands-on individual to join our expanding Analytical Development team in the role of Research Associate/Senior Research Associate for Bioassay and Potency assay development. The selected individual will support cell culture based bioanalytical daily workflows (i.e.: Transfections, ELISA, Luminex, MSD, ICW, Jess, etc.), and will be involved in the identification of new potency assays and technologies to advance Arcturus’s pipeline. The successful candidate will possess strong technical skills, and the ability to develop, troubleshoot, and execute bioanalytical assays under minimal guidance and supervision. The candidate is expected to manage multiple projects and to communicate data/reports in accordance with Arcturus’ timelines. This position will directly report to the Bioassay team lead in the Analytical Development Department and will collaborate with other functional groups within the organization.
WHAT YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE
- Support multiple programs and platforms within the company.
- Develop, troubleshoot, and execute bioanalytical assays (i.e.: Transfections, ELISA, MSD, ICW, Jess, etc.) to support in vitro and pre-clinical projects.
- Support tech transfer of methods to CRO and development partners
- Implement new technologies to advance our pipeline.
- Analyze, review, and interpret bioanalytical datasets.
- Provide project summaries/reports in team meetings.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
WHAT WE SEEK
- BS or MS in cellular and molecular biology, immunology, biochemistry, or other biological relevant disciplines.
- 2 years industry experience is preferred.
- Require 1-3 years of experience in cell culture techniques
- Experience with in vitro transfection systems for mouse and human cell lines is preferred.
- Experience with Western blot, ELISA, and MSD.
- Experience with LNP or mRNA delivery systems is a plus.
- Proven ability to perform and troubleshoot bioanalytical assays.
- Experience in data analysis with Excel and PRISM is a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and proven ability to manage multiple experiments.
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to details, and proven ability to work under minimal supervision within a multi-disciplinary environment.
EDUCATION
- BS/MS degree in cellular and molecular biology, biochemistry, biological sciences, pharmaceutical sciences, chemistry, or other relevant disciplines.

The anticipated salary range for candidates who will work in San Diego is $77,400.00 to $102,400.00.
The range provided is based on what we believe is a reasonable estimate for the base salary pay range for this job at the time of posting. The final salary offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to the type and length of experience within the job, type and length of experience within the industry, education, etc. Arcturus Therapeutics is multi state employer and this salary range may not reflect positions that work in other states. Some roles may also be eligible for overtime pay, in accordance with federal and state requirements.
