What are the responsibilities and job description for the Controller, Plant position at Ardagh Group?
Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures. Directing the preparation, analysis and interpretations of financial reports and data required by plant and corporate management.
Manage to the day-to-day activities of the plant financial staff.
Act as financial advisor and business partner to plant team.
Prepare reports and analysis to help plant management make good business decisions.
Provide regular reporting of department and plant performance to the appropriate managers and participate in corrective action plans as needed.
Develop an annual business plan with assistance from department managers and corporate staff
Provide regular financial forecasts as required
Prepare and/or administer the preparation of month end financial statements and associated journal entries
Analyze balance sheet accounts as required
Maintain timely and accurate production and inventory reporting systems
Comply with Environmental and Food Safety standards as set forth in plant policies/programs within Department responsibilities
Requirements:
Ideal candidate will possess an undergraduate degree in finance, accounting, business or related discipline with at least 5 years accounting experience.
Manufacturing / Cost Accounting experience preferred.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
Experience in ERP systems, specifically SAP is highly desirable.
Must have strong communication skills and possess exceptional organizational and planning skills and be able to handle multiple tasks in a team-based environment.
