Residential/Commercial Painter– Job Description
Position Summary:
To be responsible, under the supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor and Resident Manager, for painting all interiors with specific concentration on vacant apartments and occasional focusses on exterior areas of the property as needed.
Education/Skill Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Proven ability to work with people, our main concern is meeting residents’ needs.
- Clean, neat professional appearance.
- Concern for work-safety program
- Ability to stand, climb stairs/ladders and walk property on an as needed basis
- Ability to use hands to handle tools, feel objects, or control machinery as outlined in job description
- Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl to complete daily tasks
- Ability to regularly lift and/or move 10Lbs., frequently, lift and/or move 25 Lbs., and occasionally lift and/or move 50 Lbs
- Adequate vision capabilities to perform essential duties
- Ability to function in various weather and climate conditions
- Means of reliable transportation to and from work in accordance with weekly schedule, as well as a clean DMV record for use of company vehicles and golf carts.
- Conduct business in accordance with the Federal Fair Housing Law (The Fair Housing Amendments Act of 1988).
Painter Level 1 – Entry Level up to 1 year experience in facilities, construction, drywall/painting position.
Painter Level 2 – Over three years’ success and growth in Painter position
Day to Day Responsibilities:
Prepare all surfaces for painting. Paint entire apartment or touch-up as outlined in the weekly turnover schedule. Ensure that apartment interior is free from excess paint. Follow company procedures in regards to prep, painting, and cleaning. Will be able to clearly document daily job log and work progress in detail. Other duties as may be assigned as needed. Must learn and understand safe chemical handling and safety data sheets, chemical safety and its uses. Abide by all work safe practices. Ensure that the Company Mission Statement is carried out and maintained at all times.
