What You’ll Do
The Scheduler is responsible for scheduling and canceling appointments for patients. This position will be located at 1265 S Utica Ave.
The successful candidate will be able to:
- Schedule and cancel patient appointments at request of physicians, clinical staff, and patients
- Enter authorization numbers and generate new referral requests for future office visits
- Reschedule patients from the bump list
- Create and update accounts in EPIC
- Create appointment notes accurately in EPIC
- Look up patient account history
What You’ll Bring
- High school diploma or GED required
- 1-3 years of experience preferred
- Must have a passion for excellence
- Must demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Professionalism displayed through sound judgement, initiative, and flexibility
- Good interpersonal, communication, team-work, and customer service skills
- Strong organizational, problem-solving and follow-through skills
- Ability to multi-task constantly, react to changes quickly/productively, and tolerate interruptions
- Ability to perform work when no directions are given, and give directions to others
- Remain flexible, organized, professional and able to analyze, make sound decisions under stressful situations
- Demonstrate maturity and accountability
