Ardent is seeking a Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Analyst (Planning and Performance) to join our team.

This is an on-site position located at the United States Coast Guard's, Shore Infrastructure Logistics Center.

Position Description:

Ardent is seeking a GIS Analyst to support our Federal Partner s geospatial program. This role is critical in supporting the Coast Guard (CG) on the development of role-based access controls for the ArcGIS Enterprise team, develop various surveys using Survey 123 Connect, leverage GIS for streamlining construction efforts, and develop data connections with Power BI to support dashboard development.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Develop, edit, and update GIS data layers, web maps, and other GIS products using ESRI's ArcGIS suite, including Survey 123 Connect, Dashboards, and ArcGIS for Power BI.
  • Ensure accurate data input and modification within the system, with a focus on asset or facilities management.
  • Develop and maintain data connections and dashboard development using the Microsoft Power BI platform in conjunction with ESRI ArcGIS for Power BI and ESRI Dashboards applications.
  • Collaborate with the Business Information Systems Branch's Performance Team to develop and sustain new GIS & Power BI connections, documenting processes as required.
  • Create, document, and maintain new surveys and workflows for collecting and sharing post-event damage assessments to CG facilities using ESRI Survey 123 Connect and other necessary ESRI applications.
  • Develop the Role-Based Access Controls (RBAC) schema for managing CG s ArcGIS Enterprise platform, adhering to GIS governance standards.
  • Produce various forms of communication, including process guides, memorandums, visual presentations, and spreadsheets, for internal CG use and coordination with different government agencies.
  • Develop, document, and sustain new civil engineering project planning GIS data layers and workflows to improve the planning efficiency of new civil engineering projects.
  • Serve as a GIS subject matter expert, offering guidance and training to SILC and subordinate unit staff members.
  • Produce GIS-related products, such as standard or custom maps, charts, graphs, and analyses, based on specifications from the CG GIS Program Manager.

Requirements:

    • Associate's degree or higher in GIS, Surveying, Engineering, Cartography, Geography, or Information Systems.
    • Five (5) years of experience in developing, editing and updating GIS data layers, web maps and other GIS products using ESRI's ArcGIS suite of GIS applications to include Survey 123 Connect, Dashboards and ArcGIS for Power BI. Accurately inputting data and making changes to records stored within the system is crucial. This experience shall be related to asset or facilities management.
    • Proven experience in GIS development, with a focus on asset or facilities management.
    • Experience with Microsoft Power BI and ESRI applications for dashboard and data connection development.
    • Proficiency in developing and maintaining surveys and workflows for damage assessments using ESRI Survey 123 Connect.
