Ardent is seeking a Geospatial Project Manager to join our team.
This is a onsite role in (Huntsville, AL)
Position Description:
The Geospatial Project Manager will lead the execution and delivery of a major geospatial investment. Primary responsibilities include the ability to apply expertise in project management, process improvement, outreach, training, and requirements gathering. Additionally, change management experience with a large IT organization and system is desired.
Responsibilities:

- Respond to various requirements for geospatial products and services
- Support contingency incidents or special events
- Create critical infrastructure - and resiliency-focused geospatial analytics and products
- Create maps or visualization output focused on critical infrastructure and cyber information for hazards, such as natural disasters, terrorist threats and attacks, chemical spills, radiological events, Special Security Events (SSE), bombing prevention, security analysis and reporting, and other cyber and infrastructure projects and programs.
- Provide geospatial support to troubleshoot issues with ArcGIS software
The PM is expected to:
- Provide project oversight of a large, integrated geospatial program
- Facilitate, manage and execute project activities for large or complex GIS tasks that may include enterprise systems integration, data maintenance and migration, and geospatial analysis projects.
- Provide technical oversight and develop standards for business line activities integrating with enterprise GIS
- Provide primary communication with clients and stakeholders; facilitate meetings and reviews
- Implement project controls to ensure successful completion of the solution design and implementation with technical support team
- Develop, maintain and report on project plans and schedules
- Prepare and maintain internal and external project documentation
- Mentor technical staff and foster a good working environment through knowledgeable, effective, hands-on technical and management oversight and support
- Demonstrate knowledge of project management methodologies and tools (e.g. Microsoft Project)
- Plan, organize and manage project schedules, tasks, and deliverables
- Have a passion for working with teammates and customers to solve problems
- Be dynamic, personable and self-motivated personality
- Have exceptional customer service orientation
- Have outstanding written and oral communication skills
- Have experience monitoring and controlling project financials
Requirements:
- 4 years project management experience
- Project management certification
- Experience leading teams implementing enterprise GIS
- Experience creating and tracking project schedules using work breakdown structures, tasks lists, and time estimating techniques
- Experience managing projects costs and budgets
- Experience coordinating with organizational IT service providers to resolve issues and dependencies affecting GIS deployments
- Experience with ArcGIS commercial software
- Collegiate degree in IT discipline
