Job Posting for TEACHER ASSISTANT/DRIVER at Area Cooperative Educational Services
Full-time Teacher Assistant/Driver needed for students with a variety of special education support needs at ACES Center for Autism Spectrum and Developmental Disorders (CASDD), Northford, CT. CASDD serves students ages 11-22 years who demonstrate a wide range of cognitive, social, behavioral, and communication needs. A strong emphasis is placed on functional life skills taught in our contrived environments. Students also learn through outings in the community where transportation is provided by the Teacher Assistant/Driver. Qualified candidates must be able to meet the demanding expectations to support our students in this dynamic environment.
Individual must possess qualities such as: creativity and initiative and have good written and oral communication skills.
Experience with children in grades 6-12 and transition age students with behavioral support and instructional support needs is preferred.
