Meet the team:
The Autonomy Operations team is responsible for planning and executing tests on system level components relating to the analysis of Autonomy Testing, as well as providing the necessary support needed to execute testing. Testing Operations essential function at Argo AI is to safely execute and support the test initiatives set forth by our engineering team. They work with test engineers and other teams to develop appropriate means to execute and support testing, including specific test software, hardware, interfaces and instrumentation. They are responsible for coordinating all required resources for test execution and ensuring tests are executed in a safe, effective and efficient manner.
What you’ll do:
- Support and execute the day-to-day operations of the test site
- Coordinate and support daily track activities to ensure safety, efficiency, and functionality
- Coordinate projects that support the test site and testing operations
- Create and organize documentation of workflows, projects, equipment, etc. at the test site using online tools like google sheets, slack, and workboard tools
- Work closely with testing operations staff to set the test schedule and prepare the test site for current and upcoming activities
- Compliment the test team with field support on a daily basis
- Ensure all staff are following safety policies and procedures for the test site and using a “safety first” mindset.
- Assist in developing policies and procedures for the site
- Coordinate with other departments on needs for the test site
- Purchase equipment and coordinate with outside contractors to satisfy test requirements and needs for the site
- Assist in oversight of vehicles and equipment to ensure functionality of the site
- Assist with Implementing OSHA standards and risk management initiatives at the site
- Operate forklift, scissor lift, and other heavy equipment as needed
- Coordinate daily work activities with 3rd Party Contractors or Vendors as needed
What you'll need to succeed:
- Two or Four year degree is preferred but not required
- Ability to manage and prioritize conflicting objectives
- Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting, implementing solutions, and documenting results
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to span a large and varied workforce
- Proven self-starter mindset and the ability to work independently or with minimal supervision
- Ability to legally operate a motor vehicle
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
- Willingness to work in all environments including varying weather conditions if needed
Nice to haves:
- Experience working in a testing and/or automotive environment
- Familiarity with OSHA standards and safety procedures
- Experience with heavy equipment (forklifts, scissor lifts, etc.)
