Primary duties
- Rigging, piping, welding, and cutting.
- Disassembled and repaired mechanical components such as pneumatics and hydraulics and conveyed and rotated equipment according to specifications.
- Be familiar with all types of material handling equipment, such as belt conveyors, bucket elevators, dust collectors, etc. I have experience with precision coupling and belt drive alignment techniques, as well as various types of bearings and their applications.
- Inspection, repair, and replacement of conveyor systems, air slides, belts, elevators, pneumatic systems, chains, and other related equipment.
- Observing and testing the operation of machinery and equipment to diagnose malfunctions using applicable testing devices.
- Maintenance and repair of dust collector systems and conducting routine preventive maintenance on process and auxiliary equipment.
- Reading schedules and attending company training sessions, including safety, equipment modification/updates, process changes, and sessions mandated by regulatory agencies.
- Making mechanical assessments and taking corrective action with follow-up.
- Working safely to prevent on-the-job injuries by observing safety policies and procedures, operating practices, and always wearing appropriate personal protective equipment. Follow all safety procedures and adhere strictly to the LOTO(TO) policies.
- Attending all applicable classes, education, and training for this position.
- Additional duties may be assigned at the supervisor’s discretion, as well as performing minor preventive maintenance tasks, including lubrication and minor machine adjustments to belt conveyors and V-belts.
- Performing housekeeping in areas of responsibility to ensure plant and equipment are safe for operation and maintenance work.
- Completing workplace inspections before starting any work using the current FRA form.
Educational requirements
- HS Diploma/GED.
- Must have Industrial Maintenance experience (certifications are preferred).
Experience/Skills requirements
- Complete online assessment evaluation.
- Hands-on Testing.
- In-Person Interview.
- Ability to work in extreme heat and cold, exposed to external weather conditions.
- Ability to work in noisy and dusty conditions.
- Must be able to work overtime on occasion, be on a rotating call schedule and work some holidays as required.
