Self-Storage Assistant Manager - Rita Ranch Self Storage/Carwash

Rita Ranch Self Storage & Car Wash in Tucson, AZ is looking for a motivated and dependable Property Manager to fill a Full Time Self-Storage Assistant Manager position. This is a 36 hour per week position, Storage experience preferred but not required.

This position is responsible for the day-to-day management of our self-storage facilities while remaining in compliance with all state and federal laws. Working closely with the Property Manager to acheive buisness goals and objectives.

Job duties include the showing, renting, and vacating of storage units, greeting customers, answering phones for rental inquiries and making delinquency phone calls. Includes all aspects of running an office including, but not limited to the use of a computer software program, responding to Internet inquiries in a professional manner, communicating with the corporate office, making decisions, reconciling cash receipts, following lien procedures (must be detailed oriented) and the printing/interpreting of reports.

In addition to office related work, responsibilities include being able to work both inside and outside doing maintenance work (i.e. cleaning of units, picking up trash and debris, sweeping hallways and grounds, cleaning bathrooms, pulling weeds, and minor repairs). This facility has a Dog Wash and Car Wash on-site, assistance with customer needs may be required.

Our ideal candidate must have excellent customer service skills and the ability to work well with the public. Possess good time management skills and have the ability to solve problems in a courteous and timely manner. Must have knowledge of computers, sales, communicate well on the phone, and enjoy working with people. Ideal candidate should have a positive attitude and a willingness to learn. This facility is a Full-Service U-Haul Dealer, renting of trucks/trailers, cleaning of U-Haul equipment, and scheduling reservations will be required. Must be able to lift at least 40lbs.

Must be able to pass a complete background check, have a valid U.S. Driver's License and a bank account for payroll direct deposit. Trips to the post office, office supply store, etc. will be necessary, so reliable transportation is required along with minimum liability auto insurance coverage. A stipend for fuel costs will be granted to employees who meet the minimum requirements of auto insurance discussed upon hire. Starting hourly pay begins at $16.00 an hour with the opportunity to earn bonuses and commissions monthly on Storage Rentals. Health Additional Benefits available to all new full-time employees after a 60 day waiting period.
