What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior FP&A Analyst position at Arhaus Recruiting?
The Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for analyzing and monitoring the P&L, providing comprehensive monthly and quarterly variance analysis for sales, margin, and expenses. This role contributes to the budgeting process and supports ad hoc analysis on various departmental expenses. This role reports directly to the Manager of Financial Planning and Analysis. This position is based on-site at our Corporate Headquarters located in Boston Heights, Ohio.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze and report on the key drivers of business performance
- Assist with the production of monthly forecast updates and variance analysis via cross-functional collaboration with department heads
- Assist in the annual Budget and Long Range Plan processes
- Compile regular business performance reporting updates (including presentation materials) for key stakeholders including management, investors, and the Board of Directors
- Identify and improve organizational efficiencies
- Develop complex financial models to provide scenario and ad hoc analysis
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting, Master’s degree preferred
- 2-5 years of experience
- Must be advanced in Microsoft Excel, specifically in using functions, pivot tables, data analysis, and building financial models
- Must be proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint
- Must be knowledgeable of GAAP accounting and how it relates to budgeting and forecasting
- Must have functional knowledge of financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and the ability to write financial reports
- Must have strong verbal and written communication skills
- Must have strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Must have a high level of ethics, integrity, judgment, and confidentiality
