Department Overview

Aria’s Production Operations team consists of Systems, Application, and Database Administrators. The team works primarily out of Broomall, PA, with a NOC and remote team members working in India. This team operates in a 24x7 environment, supporting Aria production and development systems. All SA’s and DBA’s participate in a rotating on-call schedule as appropriate.

Position Summary

This role will require mid-level operational SA experience, but will not include management of personnel; position reports to the Lead of Production Operations. Occasional travel (<10%) to our PA data centers (both are less than one hour’s distance from the office) may be necessary, but rare for this role. There is a rare possibility of traveling to our out-of-state disaster recovery site.

Responsibilities

Operational support of the Aria application to ensure the environments stays secure and meets the demanding availability requirements associated with an enterprise SaaS application. The Systems Administrator will participate in periodic on-call rotations acting as a second level escalation path for our NOC located in India.

Required Qualifications

• Successful candidate will possess at least 3-5 years of experience and be proficient in Linux system administration with a demanding focus on security and a high end always available infrastructure;
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Systems (or comparable experience);
• Worked supporting a 24x7x365 environment and willingness to be on-call
• Strong operational background, understanding importance of sustaining demanding uptimes numbers;
• Strong working knowledge of Linux, NFS clustering, and other related high availability technologies;
• Working knowledge of AWS or Azure;
• Working knowledge of PHP and Apache;
• Prior exposure to the modern monitoring technologies such as Nagios & Splunk;
• Experience with virtualization techniques;
• Strong focus on automation and optimization of day to day work;
• Good understanding of network technologies, including load balancing (preferably Netscaler);
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities;
• Excellent communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Candidates with experience in environments that require continual security and compliance audits is desired;
• Working knowledge of configuration management tools;
• Worked within AWS or Azure;
• Exposure to security audits and mitigation of findings;
• Scripting skills;
• Linux Certifications a plus;
• Strong team player and worked with offshore support teams.
