Job Description:

AriensCo has an opportunity available at their Brillion, WI Product Test & Verification Center. The Test Technician will review product test plans and test requests in order to plan and organize required test procedures, objectives, test equipment, nature of technical problem, and test possible solutions, such as part redesign, substitution of material or parts, or rearrangement of parts or subassemblies.

THE DAY TO DAY…

  • Fabricate test fixtures using basic metal working tools and generates sketches for the Model Shop to build more complex parts and fixtures

  • Design, fabricate, and assemble new test setups of mechanical components or assemblies for yard and garden products, snow, or other company machinery

  • Sets up and conducts tests of complete units and components under operational conditions to investigate design proposals for improving equipment performance, durability or other factors, or to obtain data for development, standardization, and quality control

  • Works independently

  • Sets up test procedures, instrumentation and computer support

  • Runs complex non routine tests

  • Sets up and conducts all regulatory tests (ANSI, CPSC, CE)

  • Analyzes indicated and calculated test results in relation to design or rated specifications and test objectives, and modifies or adjusts equipment to meet specifications

  • Records test procedures and results, numerical and graphical data, and recommendations for changes in product or test method including generating detailed test reports

  • Writes accurate work instructions for standard tests

THE QUALIFICATIONS…

  • High School diploma required; Associate's degree (A. A.) from two-year college or technical school preferred

  • Minimum of 3 years related experience and/or training

  • Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills are necessary

  • Experience in data acquisition and programmable controller’s a plus
