ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE

Responsibilities:

Account Executive is responsible for seeking our new business opportunities within the designated local market, developing the potential for new business by communicating Aries global logistics capabilities to decision maker, and engaging in business appropriate activities such as sales calls, lunches and other approved entertainments to build relationships between the company and client. The Account Executive may also act as liaison between the customer and the appropriate customer service or operations department or personnel.

Specific Job Duties:

• Engage in sales-related activities by calling on potential new accounts (by phone and in person), setting up appointments, and distributing company information intended for customers, and gathering relevant business information on their shipping activities and volume
• Travel within local market to meet with new and existing customers
• Assist customer service to obtain accurate shipment information for the purpose of quoting and follow up with the customer on the quote to evaluate the acceptability of the quote to the customer
• Engage the customer in various pre-approved activities such as lunches, after-hours gatherings, sporting events, etc.
• Distribute pre-approved marketing tools as appeals to the individual customer
• Negotiate and present acceptable rates to the customer based on gathering knowledge of overall market competitiveness
• Utilize EDI for entering customer and sales call information
• Create and maintain customer profiles for use by customer service and operations
• Act as liaison between the client and operations department, as appropriate to the client
• Ensure that customers needs are always met, and customer is at all times satisfied with Aries service and when needed, communicate to sales manager how the company can better meet the customers needs and expectation

Qualifications

Requirements

• 2.5 to 5 years Sales experience.
• 2.5 to 5 years industry experience.
• Strong leadership, communication and decision-making skills.
• Ability to sell and drive growth.
• Excellent customer relationship management skills.
