What are the responsibilities and job description for the 2nd Shift - Shear Operators position at Arizon Companies?
POSITION SUMMARY:
Qualities include but are not limited to: Accurate Reading, Writing, and basic math skills. Safe operation of all equipment including but not limited to forklift and overhead crane.
FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION
- Safely set up and operate a Shear.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, job travelers, and routers.
- Ability to measure and verify dimensions using a tape measure.
- Ability to calculate decimals and fractions figures.
- Ability to stack completed parts properly on blocks or pallets.
- Have a proactive, positive attitude and a strong sense of self-motivation, accountability and responsibility.
- Good attendance.
- Must have the ability to work as a team.
- Organizational skills are a must.
- Ability to ensure proper use of PPE.
- Accrue Shear equipment is use by Arizon Companies
WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Varying weather conditions and temperatures in warehouse.
- Physical strength to lift- up to 50 pounds
EDUCATION:
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to read, write, and communicate well
- Prior factory experience in operating a Shear is a plus.
