Our company is seeking a highly skilled and experienced CFO to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all financial operations of the company and ensuring that financial statements are accurate and in compliance with all regulatory requirements.
Position Summary
An exempt position responsible for oversight of the following functions:
- Oversee the accounting department.
- Supervise and train department staff.
- Approve vendor payments and monitor expenditures.
- Manager/oversee treasury functions.
- Lead month-end closing process.
- Prepare monthly financial reports including variance reporting.
- Year-end audit management and tax preparation
- Annual budget planning
- Preparation of financial analyses including margin assessment, forecast models, proformas, etc.
- Vendor contract management including annual review for cost savings and service value.
The CFO reports to the CEO and is responsible for managing the organization’s financial success and growth while maintaining legal financial practices. Duties will include financial planning, reviewing financial documents to ensure tax-compliance and collaboration with other departments to optimize the organization’s financial goals.
Reports To: Chief Executive Officer
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop financial strategies by forecasting capital, facilities, and staff requirements.
- Analyze financial data and create financial reports for management.
- Manage the preparation of the company's budget, producing financial reports related to account payables, account receivables, expenses, etc.
- Oversee the operations and development of AAAI finance department including creating and reviewing policies, budgeting, recruiting, training, and conducting regular assessments of financial procedures.
- Ensure compliance with accounting policies and regulatory requirements.
- Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department.
- Develop and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including auditors and financial institutions.
- Provide financial analysis and support for business development activities.
- Supervise the preparation of quarterly and annual account reconciliations, monitor, and enforce compliance with tax and financial reporting standards and assist with cash flow forecasting.
- Create strategic business plans based on the analysis of the company’s status and financial forecasts.
Requirements
Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities Education
- Required: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
- Master’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred.
- CPA certification preferred.
Experience
- Minimum seven years of mid to senior leadership-level experience in accounting or fiancé department preferably in a medical group or physician enterprise.
- Strong understanding of GAAP requirements and accrual accounting.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience supervising staff or managing a team.
- Ability to analyze data and make data-driven decisions.
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Strong knowledge of financial management principles and practices
- Knowledge of relevant federal, state, and local regulations related to business accounting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and software applications.
- Experience working with Netchex system for payroll preferred.
Other Requirements
Working Conditions OSHA Category 3: Involves no regular exposure to blood, body fluids, or tissues, and tasks that involve exposure to blood, body fluids, or tissues are not a condition of employment. The position is in a well-lit office environment. Occasional evening and weekend work. Involves sitting, walking, or standing throughout the day. Equipment operated will be standard office equipment including computers, fax machines, copiers, printers, telephones, etc.
