Job Title: Success Coach
Job Overview: The Success Coach is responsible for providing assistance to youth and young adults to enhance their knowledge, skills, and abilities required in a competitive labor market. This includes aiding youth/students with completing assigned online courses, exploring career and educational opportunities, navigating application processes for training or post-secondary opportunities, securing employment or internships, exploring financial aid options, and overcoming barriers such as transportation, housing, and work readiness skills.
Key Responsibilities:

Effective Coaching Services:
- Engage youth in decision-making about personal, educational, and career goals.
- Facilitate the College and Career Blueprint to help youth identify suitable education and career goals.
- Conduct outreach, recruitment, pre/post assessments, registration, orientation, and referrals for services.
- Screen and assess youth through academic, career, and barrier assessments.
- Develop and follow up on individual goal setting for career, education, and personal life.
- Provide resources to youth/students as appropriate.
- Assist with job search activities and job retention coaching.
- Facilitate co-enrollment between programs as appropriate.

Student Engagement:
- Maintain contact with each youth/student at a minimum every two weeks.
- Regularly communicate with students to keep them engaged in educational services and programs.
- Develop and maintain working relationships with community partners.
- Link youth to available and appropriate services through collaboration with outside agencies and individuals.

Program Enrollment:
- Assist youth with enrolling in ACYR programs and services in coordination with the Outreach and Enrollment team.
- Provide excellent customer service throughout the enrollment process.
- Handle appointments, interviews, and applications professionally and timely.
- Advise students in program selection, registration, etc.
- Engage in campus outreach within the community.

Employment Opportunities and Workshops:
- Assist with employment skills training workshops.
- Develop workshops tailored to student needs.
- Assess and connect students with appropriate employment opportunities.

Academic Assistance:
- Provide or refer students to tutoring services.
- Monitor academic progress and completion of classes for HS and HSE students.
- Assist with the completion of HS Diploma or HSE diploma.

Case Management:
- Maintain accurate and timely case notes.
- Utilize tracking tools to ensure student outcomes are maximized.

Professional Development:
- Participate in professional development activities to enhance knowledge in case management and available resources.

Goal Achievement:
- Ensure all goals and objectives are met as demonstrated by student outcomes, including retention, completion of training, FAFSA/college application completion, skill gains, graduation, and attendance.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in human services, business, education, or related field, or 2 years of relevant experience in lieu of a college degree.
- One year of experience in workforce development programs or similar services is preferred.
- Knowledge of applicable federal and state laws and regulations, local industry and business employment needs and trends, and area employment and training activities is helpful.
- Bi-lingual/bi-cultural skills are preferred.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Commitment to teamwork and effective working relationships.
- Positive attitude and high-quality customer service in all communication facets.
- Understanding and utilization of positive youth development practices.
- Experience working with at-risk youth is a plus.
- Flexibility with evolving program tasks.

- Experience in public speaking, facilitation, and presentation skills is a plus.
- Ability to form strong connections and understand and have compassion for low-income families.

Background Check:
- Must have a reputation for honesty and trustworthiness. Misdemeanor and/or felony convictions may be disqualifying depending on type, number, severity, and recency. The background check includes reference checks, employment, education, and criminal background search.
Certification/Licenses/Other Requirements:
- Valid Arizona Level II Fingerprint Clearance Card.
- Valid Arizona Driver's License.
- Requires use of an insured personal vehicle for agency business.
ACYR is an at-will employer, and any offer of employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a background check.
Salary : $37,000 - $37,500
