Established in 1978, the Arizona Community Foundation (ACF) is a statewide family of charitable funds, with a mission to lead, serve, and collaborate to mobilize enduring philanthropy for a better Arizona.
The Programs & Community Engagement (P&CE) team oversees ACF’s loan programs, innovation prizes, community-led philanthropy groups, community-focused programs, and discretionary grant programs, and includes colleagues from ACF’s 5 Statewide Affiliate Offices, who provide comprehensive services in their regions. P&CE’s charge is to honor and partner with communities to close gaps, meet critical needs, and leverage resources to power their great potential.
The ideal Programs & Community Engagement Coordinator candidate is a resourceful, organized, and collaborative individual who values public service, authentic community engagement, and has a respect for, or a connection to, Arizona and its communities. The ideal candidate also values lifelong learning and may not possess all of the qualifications listed in this announcement but is adaptive and willing to learn.
This position is grant-funded for 2 years, with the potential for continuation at the end of the grant term.
Essential Job Functions
The Programs & Community Engagement Coordinator is responsible for coordinating activities related to the JPMorgan Chase Affordable Housing Grant as overseen by the P&CE team.
Select specific activities include:
- Maintaining JPM Chase Collaborative database of participants
- Coordinating meetings internally and with high-level officials, providing meeting agendas, materials, and follow-up items
- Compiling and entering data and maintaining program databases
- Updating and monitoring project workplans and action items
- Supporting ongoing reporting within grant portal
- Supporting internal reporting, grant reporting, and reporting to partner organizations
- Meeting appropriate grant reporting deadlines
- Fielding and appropriately routing loan/grant support requests
- Providing service and support to loan/grant seekers
- Organizing loan/grant application reviews, tracking the status of applications, and coordinating next steps, including P&CE team engagement where relevant
- Be available to support relevant administrative task as assigned
Knowledge or Skills
- The following (or any combination of experience/education that has resulted in comparable knowledge, skills, abilities):
- Two or more years of professional experience within a corporation, nonprofit organization, government agency, tribal entity, loan or grantmaking institution
- A Bachelor’s degree and/or advanced training in a relevant area of study
- Excellent organizational and communication skills, verbal and written, for internal and external use
- The ability to provide exceptional customer service in a performance-driven office environment
- Willingness to travel on occasion, locally and regionally (if needed)
- Computer literacy, including aptitude with standard office products, software, and equipment
- Experience with grantmaking and customer relationship management (CRM) systems a plus
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus

This position functions in an office environment. The candidate must:

- Responsive Service. Develop sufficient knowledge of ACF services and opportunities to respond accurately and comprehensively to requests for information.
- Integrity. Operate with integrity and represent yourself, and ACF, in a positive and professional manner.
