Research Management:
Serve as the primary resource to investigators, clinical research team and collaborators for all aspects of conducting research for complex and multi-center studies focusing on transcranial Doppler applications in Neurosurgery and Neurology.
Assist in the review of investigator initiated research projects, establishing priorities, schedules, and review of terms and conditions, managing adherence to all conditions.
Manage administrative, regulatory and fiscal aspects of the research program. Analyzes operational costs and lead efficiency improvements.
Plans and manages business and marketing initiatives for the research program.
Work with PI, sponsoring agencies, and Administrators as well as institutional compliance and sponsored programs to ensure timely, accurate and appropriate research activity.
Works collaboratively with various University entities in order to strategically position the Division to achieve the goals and objectives.
Technical Director of Operations, Transcranial Doppler Laboratory:
Build and operationalize multi-disciplinary clinical research ultrasound laboratory
Supervise and provide training of sonographers, residents, fellows and international fellows at Neurosurgery and Neurology Departments
Analyzes and designs processes to provide effective solutions and ensure quality, controls resources, establishes policy and planning.
Accredit transcranial ultrasound laboratory and maintain accreditation through Inter-Societal Accreditation Commission
International Fellow Education Supervisor:
Develop and implement educational curriculum for international fellows, residents, fellows and faculty to learn transcranial Doppler
Supervise trainees progress towards certifications in ultrasound
Maintain regular communication with mentors ensuring project progression and expectations.
Build and manage various aspects of each departments international fellowship program participation in transcranial Doppler research, including recruitment, selection, orientation, support, and ongoing communication with unfunded research fellows into laboratory projects.
Supervisor, Industry-sponsored research and Educational Courses:
Actively explore partnerships with Industry to conduct research projects with transcranial Doppler and set up educational courses to implement cutting-edge technologies for Neurosurgery and Neurology
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Complete knowledge of all job functions and the broad industry best practices, techniques and standards.
Exhibits ability to transfer knowledge and application of complex principles, theories and concepts to peers.
Contributes to the development of new concepts, techniques and standards within the profession.
