What are the responsibilities and job description for the Fire Alarm/Security/Life Safety Coordinator position at ARK Systems?
PROFILE:
The Fire Protection Scheduler is responsible for scheduling Inspections for the Testing department at ARK Systems.
Work Location:
This job operates in a professional climate-controlled office environment in Columbia, MD from 8:30am-5pm, Monday-Friday.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Effectively coordinate and schedule a team of inspection technicians.
- View open ticket reports to aide in scheduling manpower for inspections and testing of low voltage systems.
- Coordinate testing with sub-contractors as required.
- Communicate effectively with the Sr. Contracts Coordinators and Lead Technicians to identify and resolve scheduling issues.
- Answer customer calls and follow through on their requests.
- Provide customer service and maintain positive relationships with Property Managers and Building Engineers.
- Support the Sales Staff regarding scheduling needs for customers.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Must have knowledge of office administrative procedures and knowledge of use and operation of standard office equipment, at a level generally acquired through 3 years related experience.
- Some analytical ability is required in order to gather and summarize data, find solutions to various administrative problems and prioritize work.
- Good oral/written communication skills are necessary. Must be able to work in a high volume/fast paced environment and handle multiple tasks. Should be comfortable answering a phone and making calls for potential entirety of shift.
- Work requires continual attention to detail in composing, typing and proofing materials, establishing priorities, and meeting deadlines.
- Must have a positive and respectful attitude and maintain good working relationships with management staff and employees.
Education & Experience:
- 1-2 years of scheduling/dispatching experience.
- Able to thrive in a high volume/fast paced environment.
- Detail oriented, flexible, organized, driven and multi-tasker.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite.
- Self-starter, critical thinker, team player and positive attitude.
